Conference Considering Women in the Early Modern Low Countries

The international conference Considering Women in the Early Modern Low Countries (24-25 April 2015) brings together twenty-six eminent scholars of history, art history, and literature. It will be the first conference to focus on women and gender in both the Protestant Dutch Republic and the Catholic Southern Netherlands. The venue for the conference is the Rubenianum (Kolveniersstraat 20, Antwerp).

Featured keynote speakers are Martha Howell (Miriam Champion Professor of History at Columbia University), and Diane Wolfthal (David and Caroline Minter Endowed Chair in the Humanities and Professor of Art History at Rice University)

Registration is now open. Due to limited capacity at the venue the Rubenianum encourages those interested in attending to register early by sending an e-mail to ConsideringWomen@gmail.com. Prepaid registration is €30 per day and €15 per day for students.

Consult the program.
