Jan Van der Stock is professor at KU Leuven. He teaches Medieval Art, Graphic Arts, Iconography, and General introductions to Art. He is coordinator of Illuminare-Centre for the Study of Medieval Art (KU Leuven), holder of the Van der Weyden Chair-Paul & Dora Janssen and the Veronique Vandekerchove Chair of the City of Leuven. Jan Van der Stock has organised various international exhibitions in Vienna (1991), Brussels (1991), Saint Petersburg (1996), Florence (1996), Antwerp (1993 and 1997) and Leuven (2002, 2009 and 2010). In 1993, he was the general coordinator of the historical exhibition Antwerp93-Cultural Capital of Europe. He has also published various monographs and contributions on the history of graphic arts in the Southern Low Countries (15th-16th Centuries).
