When the Museum M in Leuven re-opened its doors on 20 September 2009, following a thorough renovation, the new launch was enhanced by the opening of the exhibition of Rogier van der Weyden 1400/1464-Master of Passions. This was followed by the colloquium Rogier van der Weyden in Context at the University of Leuven. The organisation of the colloquium was done by KU Leuven, the research centre Illuminaire and Artes.Leuven. Furthermore, support was also provided by the Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve) and the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage.
The resulting essays from this colloquium were recently collected in the book, Rogier van der Weyden in Context. The book deals with various topics relating to Van der Weyden and his time. The book is published by Uitgeverij Peeters (Leuven).
