Until the end of July 2019, ‘The Martyrdom of Saint Erasmus’ by the Leuven painter Dieric Bouts, one of the leading Flemish Primitives, will be restored in situ by David Lainé (IPARC).
This masterpiece has remained in its original location, the Saint Peter’s Church in Leuven, for almost 600 years. Even more remarkable is the fact that this work was painted specifically for this space.
By restoring and researching the painting scientifically, M aims to preserve this stunning piece of craftsmanship in the best possible condition for the following generations.
