M Leuven

M has a specialised art library with ample foundations from exhibitions and auction catalogues, monographs and file catalogues. The specialisation is closely tied together with the respective collections and has by and large historically grown along with the collections. One of the core elements includes the publications on the Flemish primitives.

The M-library has an academic slant by nature: all publications fit within the museum context, the collections, the exhibitions and the museum activities in general. The large assembly of artist dossiers that have a documentary function also make up a part of it.

In addition, the M-library contains a specific entry on Leuven, more specifically historical studies on all aspects of Leuven and environs (general and more specific monographs, inventories and annuals of the various Leuven associations).

Practical information:

The museum library is accessible only by appointment. The library is accessible for people in wheelchairs. The publications are only to be consulted on site and may also be photocopied.
